Job description
- Working closely with the Sales Manager and Delivery, the Solution Architect will be expected to gain a clear understanding (analysis) of the customer’s technical objectives for solution implementation. Based on this the successful candidate will advise the client on how and where best to implement the client’s and/or its strategic partners’ products and solutions
- Assist from a technical point of view in pre-sales activities of products and solutions (e.g. Server Storage, Network, Cloud World, Managed Services, Licensing) both over the phone and face-to-face with potential customers
- Present and demonstrate partner/alternative products and solutions from a technical point of view to potential customers
- Provide workshops/advice to customers and partners
- Report customer feedback (requirements, requests for new functionalities) to Product Management (internal communication)
- Obtain detailed technical/business knowledge of strategic partners’ applications, in particular their possibilities and limitations, in order to present the best solution to customers
- Product training for channel partners and customers/prospects
- Execute and follow up the integration of products into strategic partners’ applications and solutions
- Manage vendors
- Analyse technical and business requirements and design the technical business solution
- Responsible for the training and technical development of the ICT team
Requirements
- Preferably a degree in engineering/informatics/IT
- Is customer-oriented and knows how to react in commercial situations
- Works well under pressure and within (time critical) guidelines
- Has certifications in HPE, HP VMware
- Preferably 5 years cumulative, full time Solution Architect/pre-sales experience
- Has a strong background (4+ years) in the IT industry
- Has knowledge (worked and/or consulted on cloud platforms)
- Has experience in designing network and security solutions and/or architectures (2+ years)
- Has extensive technical knowledge of IT standards and protocols, more specifically Windows, UNIX/LINUX, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Is fluent in English (Level B2), other national languages being an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Ticino market
- Good interpersonal skills with different departments
- Ability to adapt to continual change and a problem-solving attitude
